There has been a movement in the last few years towards broad spaces
and swaths of more organic forms. People seem tired of the glitz and
clutter of the 90's and designers (thank goodness) seem to have
managed to divest themselves of the lens flare and bevelled edges. Now
if only someone would kill all of those dreadful reflection effects.
Not that anything is wrong with using effects, but we as designers owe
it to each other and the public to be more judicious with our
application of them.
